Talent Pool, Mixed Challenges
Software Engineer • Former Employee
Bucharest, Bucuresti, Romania
September 30, 2014
Pros: In Bucharest, a lot of excellent programmers were attracted to Adobe, so you had plenty of talent and stamina to feed with and learn from the best!
Cons: The promises that work will get challenging were not always reflected in real attractive work, and the devs also did QA, DevOps, and lots of manual chores. Also, organization was not at its best (you can view this as an advantage as it gave us more freedom and space to become proactive).

Site Reliability Engineer
Site Reliability Engineer • Current Employee
Pantelimon, București, Romania
July 10, 2018
Pros: * Salary almost three times more compared to other companies from Bucharest (with stock, promotion bonuses, and on-call bonus included).
* A lot of trainings for open-source technologies.
* $10,000 USD for conferences, certificates, and learning.
Cons: You are hired as a software engineer, but you end up doing only operational tasks.

Pros: Money and benefits given trumps everything this company could do wrong, given the current world situation.
Products are untouchable on the market, and no one will ever come close in the next decade to break this creative monopoly.
Cons: You are just a little cog. Shut up and dribble, I mean code. You feel depersonalized in the grand scheme of things.
