I had two experiences with Adobe in Bucharest, Romania.

Applied for the job via an internal recommendation both times, and I was promptly phoned by HR for a quick talk. So far, so good.

After this, a more detailed technical interview via phone was to follow, and only after that we would start face-to-face interviews.

The first time around, during the phone tech interview, I realized it was a gross mismatch done by HR. They did not forward my application to the team I applied for; instead, I was called by a tech person from another team, with another QA engineer job description which was not in the least what I was interested in or had experience with. The phone interview went well, surprisingly, but I was not interested in continuing the process when they invited me for face-to-face discussions.

The second time around, I also applied via recommendation. This time I made sure they knew exactly what I was interested in (the HR point of contact was the same person from a few months ago who messed up before).

All good, and I was scheduled for a phone tech interview just as before. This time, however, they didn't even bother to call or email to cancel the appointment, and I had no more contact with them.

Overall, they have wonderful teams and interesting job descriptions, but based on my experience, what I applied for and what was discussed at a more in-depth interview did not match. Either they are trying to fill positions no one wants, or they simply misrepresent their available jobs.
