SWE New Grad Interview Experience - United States

Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and encouraged me to apply.

I had a behavioral interview scheduled for January 2nd, but it was postponed by the recruiter by two weeks, to January 14th.

Regardless, I was moved forward to the technical interview.

Two days before my technical interview, the behavioral recruiter informed me that only one spot remained, and it was on the data infrastructure team, asking if I wanted to back out.

I thought it was strange, but I decided to proceed.

My technical interview went well, and my interviewer agreed. I was given a LeetCode medium problem, which I solved successfully. However, I was ultimately rejected. The feedback from the behavioral interviewer was that I "didn't solve it quickly enough," despite having only 30 minutes to solve it.
