The technical interviews involved solving toy problems. One of them was intended to be a system architecture question, but my interviewer used it as a database design question instead, which was unexpected.

Pros: Culture fit is really important at Airbnb. Generally, the people here are very friendly and helpful to each other. Also, compensation is pretty generous.
Cons: The codebase is pretty large and convoluted/jumbled. We are still transitioning from being a startup.
