Akamai Bangalore interview process is just a waste of time, and HR doesn't bother to update the status after the interview.
HR posts the JD like they want to hire skills with a Technical Architect, but during the interview, you will come to know they need a Computer Operator. You are overqualified. :)
I had a lot of expectation from Akamai as I always thought Akamai hires the best talent. But in reality, it's totally opposite. It seems they just copy/paste JD from Google and don't know what they are posting.
Even after having expertise in Oracle DBA, I prepared for 3 days for the Akamai interview as all Oracle DB advanced skills (e.g., OEM 12c, 12c RAC, Upgrade, Migration, Installation Experience) were listed in the JD. I had to take off from the office as the interview was on a weekday.
But during the interview, I was told, "We require a candidate to work on basic tasks like password reset and user creation. Are you interested to work?" :) You are overqualified.
Advice to Senior Management:
Do you work on password resets and user creation? This is our expectation from a 4-year experienced DBA.
