There was a Hiring Manager round at first for screening.
Once screened and chosen for further rounds, three meeting links were shared at the same time. This clearly depicted that these three rounds had nothing to do with each other, and cumulative points from these three would get you an offer from the organization.
These three rounds were taken one after another in three days, as they said this requirement was very critical and they were looking to fill it soon. Then I waited two weeks for any update from them regarding the same.
During the waiting time, I came to know that it was a clever process setup by the hiring manager where they get the space and time to mix and match, apply all possibilities, and then hire. It acts as a shield for the hiring team, so after going through all the rounds, they can reject you with some nonsensical reasons, but you would only be waiting to hear the good news.
In my case, they couldn’t come to a conclusion and asked for another round two weeks later. I appeared for that one and then again was asked to wait until the end of the week. I got no response again.
Three weeks since the process was started, and after spending more than six hours on this recruitment process and numerous unanswered follow-up calls, I came to know that I was not up to the mark for them. They never bothered to put that as an update from their end.
Note: Don’t run behind any company thinking or making it your dream company, as it is a bogus phenomenon. It will only give you hope and pain at the end of it. Rather, treat any company as just an employer, and you are getting paid for the work you are doing for them. Loyalty and team being like an extended family kind of concept is not true. Through this interview process, I learned this the hard way. Thank you, Akamai. Now you are on my blocklist.
