Pros

A good brand value that it has, got years back, but slowly that brand value is going down.

Cons
  1. The innovation required is lacking somewhere.

  2. With cut-throat competition, Sales-driven Akamai has become the white elephant in the tech sector, slowly losing its value. The competitors are doing far much better.

  3. Salaries are OK but not good in the Indian market to retain talent. Even if you get hikes, you will be making less than the employees of other companies in the same business. The pay is as low as $7 per hour for some key talents.

  4. No goodies and perks.

  5. The new travel policy has made it somewhat impossible for employees to travel, which makes Akamai employees look for better options outside for career growth.

  6. Reorganization is being done, which is somewhat not understandable.

  7. Akamai's business model is not easy to understand.

Advice to Management

For the HR department, the attrition rate is rising as employees are underpaid. Please pay some focus on the current employees too, as well as on getting new talent.
