I completed the HackerRank assessment. It was fairly easy, and I was scheduled for a code pairing interview next.

I was informed that the interview would be conducted via Zoom, with coding on HackerRank's code pairing platform.

Phone Interview:

The interviewer was more than 30 minutes late and called on a mobile phone instead. The call quality was not optimal, making it difficult to hear at times.

They began with some computer science fundamental questions, then moved on to the pair programming exercise.

It seemed they were looking for someone highly competent in C++ for their junior C++ position. It's important to be very specific and technical when answering basic computer science fundamental questions.

I was stopped halfway through the code pairing exercise and informed that I had not passed. I appreciated the transparency. :)
