Process

The interview process was AWS recruiter-driven.

It started with an automated online assessment, followed by a "loop interview" consisting of four hour-long, back-to-back remote interviews.

AWS offered a one-hour prep session that outlined the process and all of the requirements of the loop interview. With that, the entire process was pretty clear and there were no surprises.

Questions

Despite the perceived uselessness of solving LeetCode problems as it pertains to the actual job, this was a factor in every step of the interview process.

If you don't know how to manipulate binary trees off the top of your head, or don't know how to reduce time-space complexities, you will likely not get hired.

Your actual job experience does not matter.
