I applied online. The process took 2 days.
Applied online and got the OA about three weeks later (coding, work simulation, work style survey). Passed it and was invited to a virtual loop of four 60-minute rounds on Zoom, split across two days, with coding done in Amazon's LiveCode editor, which has no way to run code.
Round 1 was with a senior engineer and was mostly a design question: an Amazon Locker style system.
Rounds 2 and 3 each opened with a short behavioral section and then moved to a technical problem. I did much better in round 3 than in round 2.
Round 4 was entirely behavioral, built around the Leadership Principles, with one person asking questions and a second person observing and taking notes.
Each round mixes in Leadership Principle questions, and they follow up hard on what you specifically did and what data you used. As a new grad I found the expectations high, especially on design and on how much depth they wanted in every answer. Prepare several different STAR stories with real numbers, because you'll need more than you think and you shouldn't repeat them across interviewers.
