Empowered to execute, but communication overhead can become a burden
Amazon is optimized around ownership and fast-ish decision making at all levels. Politics still play a big role in one's career, but I am empowered to execute without much pushback.
I spend more time than I would like communicating up and sideways.

Senior Software Engineering Manager
Very professional and straightforward. The recruitment team prepared properly in advance, and my expectations were met. Feedback was given in a relatively short time, and in general, I would recommend going through their process.
SWE Intern
I first had an OA, then advanced to the last interview. This interview consisted of a technical and a behavioral portion. The first half focused on leadership principles, and the second half was a LeetCode Medium graph problem.

Behavioral for 15 minutes, then a coding question. The interviewer helped whenever I was stuck. The last 5 minutes, I was able to ask the interviewer questions about the company, themselves, and so on.
