Decent pay, good exercise.
Work hard and find a way to make the job enjoyable. If you can do that, you will not hate it like many employees/former employees state. I rather liked doing it because I was constantly pushing myself, in a competition with myself and my friends, and relished in improving my metrics. It can feel like a video game if you are imaginative.
No benefits. Position offered at the end of the temp position was worse. Rude manager. Short breaks.
You can deal with the short breaks if you are diligent, prepared, and efficient. They used to put the snacks that were two days from expiration in the break room, but stopped doing this. They would not donate them to local shelters and instead just threw them away. There were a few managers that were very good at their job, welcoming, understanding, and fun to work with, but then there were a few bad apples. This is not an easy job by any means, and it was a drag to work with anyone that was lazy.
Listen to employees and don't treat them like a number (even though they are).
Amazon’s software developer interview includes an online assessment, phone screening, and 3–5 technical interviews focused on data structures, algorithms, system design, and behavioral questions based on Leadership Principles. Strong problem-solving
It was a 3-interview loop process after completing an online assessment. The interviews were DSA, Leadership principles, and LLD. It was straightforward, and many references are available for it.
There were three rounds of interviews: two technical and one behavioural. The technical rounds included coding problems and system design discussions. The interviewers were friendly, professional, and on time throughout the process.
