Very smart people to work with.
Some of the teams have great work that you can learn a lot from.
My recent manager gave me much more work than I could do. He knew it was a lot, and when I confronted him that it was impossible to complete over 150 hours of work in a sprint, he said, "Figure it out. Those are just estimates." He meant I should be working day and night, and also over the weekend, to get the work done, which I did to save my job. However, this behavior continued. There was no appreciation for the work done. Many things written in my annual review were baseless and wrong.
There is no work culture at Amazon. It is way below average. No fun, just work and work! Few people are really nice to work with, but it's hard to find such people. I would definitely not recommend anyone to work at Amazon. Their pay scale is also too low.
Hire good people, not just talented people.
1. Online Assessment Interview Invite to schedule. 2. Hiring Manager Round 2/3 LPs and 2 LeetCode medium problems. 3. Interview with SDE II Half an hour with LPs, and the other half doing a coding question to write maintainable code. 4. Bar Rai
After passing the Online Assessment, you then move on to the Final Loop Interviews, which consist of, but not necessarily in specific order: * Behavioral Interview * Technical Coding Interview (Leetcode style) * Low Level Design interview (OOP)
It went well, with half an hour for leadership principles and the other half an hour for coding and system design. It’s a great experience overall. System design, they expect more clarity.
