Great compensation. A lot of great people to learn from. Large-scale problems to work on. Build some of the most impactful software in the world (AWS).
Lots of work can become overburdening very quickly. High expectations that don't seem grounded or considerate of individuals' work capacity. Some managers are definitely not as welcoming or inclusive as others. A lot of burdening processes get in the way of doing good work (meetings, bureaucratic processes).
Work on making teams and developers more autonomous. Get rid of dependencies where teams need to depend on another team before being able to do their work (e.g., MCMs and Bar Raisers).
Communicate more about leading with "empty" to all levels of management. It doesn't seem to be reflected by all managers.
