Amazon requires a lot in terms of professionalism, and truly does have the customer's satisfaction at heart. You'll be working with some of the best engineers in the industry.
I think the customer's needs come before the employees. While this is as it should be, a larger portion of the profits thus generated should come back to the employees by way of extra shares.
Amazon leadership principles do not include something that rewards employees for unselfishly thinking of other employees. This causes the company culture to be a bit too weighted in terms of personal ambition and sometimes non-constructive competition between employees.
