Different organizations of the company are like a startup within itself. There are always new technologies being developed; it's fascinating the amount of high-tech impact each one of these projects has.
Operational load can sometimes overwhelm engineers, since there is so much at stake when you are making a change to the architecture.
Pay more attention to what's happening at lower levels.
