Process

The hiring process consists of a 75-minute online assessment. Once that is cleared, there will be a 30-minute telephonic interview with the hiring team, which covers questions about your CV and experience.

If successful, candidates will be invited for a 1-hour face-to-face technical interview, which includes detailed technical questions and a whiteboarding exercise. After passing this stage, the final round will be with the HR team. Background and credit checks will also be conducted for successful candidates.

Initially, the HR saw my profile on LinkedIn and approached me. I passed the online test, and she forwarded my profile to two teams who interviewed me one after another.

The first team invited me for a face-to-face interview but rejected me straight away, as they needed someone with more experience. Consequently, the HR forwarded me to the second team, who were looking for a less experienced candidate.

The second team took one week to provide feedback, and it was the same feedback. I had to travel to their office twice for the interviews, a commute of 2.5-3 hours each way, and waited one month only to receive this feedback.

They should have considered a Skype interview and reserved the face-to-face round for the final stage, which would have saved a lot of time.

Throughout the process, the HR was in constant contact and very responsive to messages and emails, which is a positive aspect. However, the HR attempted to negotiate the package and salary informally before the feedback from the technical team was received, which seemed a little odd and unusual.

The job specification could have been clearer, stating the required years of experience to avoid wasting time.
