I never got a recruiter call or anything, just a questionnaire, and the recruiter would delay emails for a few days at a time.
I had a hiring manager interview and was told there would be two more rounds. The recruiter told me to download VSCode and Node for my first technical interview, but when I joined, I was just given scenarios and asked how I would approach them.
I cleared it up with my interviewer because I told them that the recruiter told me we were supposed to use VSCode, and he told me that would be the next interview and then walked me through what the next one would be.
The actual interview ended up being a two-question scenario, and the majority of the time he talked about his projects, and I was just confused on what the interview process was at this point.
After that interview, I started preparing for the next since it seemed to have gone well, but then I didn’t hear back from the recruiter for a week. I followed up two days after, and nothing.
Finally, after a week, I emailed again and told them that I’m in final stages at another company and would like to know. Then, finally, she emailed back saying they’re moving on with other candidates.
I just think the recruiter should have been better at giving information, but also, it just seems that they were disorganized in communications and unsure how to assess me as a candidate.
Imagine a scenario where you are hired as a Lead Engineer for three other engineers. The codebase is an outdated React + Express.js backend app with no code standards and minimum test coverage, and a bunch of vulnerabilities. What is your approach to dealing with this project?
Have you worked with iframes?
