The job itself is very simple, but the best thing about working there is an achievable bonus (up to £512 per month), monthly prizes (e.g., wine, chocolates, financial rewards) for your efforts, themed fun days, and an open-plan office that doesn't de-motivate you. They seem to be all about internal development and growth for each individual, so if you wanted to learn about a different department, they'll let you sit in on meetings, help with projects, and have one-on-one time with you to help you move into the position that you want. The training program is very adequate, and the branch I was at in John Street, Brighton, is very helpful (I have no experience of any of their other branches).

If you don't like reading, computers, or learning, then this might not be for you. As when you're not talking to card members, you are free to fill your time as you please, just as long as you don't violate any of the fair use documents that you signed, of course.
The management at this branch were more than fair. They listen and pitch your ideas, help when you need it, guide you, and nurture you. The only thing to improve on them is to have more team meetings, as the markets are very competitive at Amex.
