Too many RIFs (reduction in force) and reorgs. Leadership hires/fires and reviews you based on perception, not what you can do.
Stop outsourcing so much. Management lays off people when they turn 60. Management will lay you off too if they don't like you, even if you are brilliant. Stop buying the kiss-ass crap when people brown-nose you or want to give presentations. That does not make them good, just because they are able to talk in front of a lot of people.
