Good Culture
Market standard and beyond technologies.
Takes care of employees well.
Bonus can be good in a good year.
Great 401K contribution (6%).
Below par industry packages.
Peer competition to get better ratings, like a rat race.
Too much technical depth and expectations, but does not compensate well.
Realized very late, as the peer companies are paying well and a lot of employees left the company.
Change the Performance Rating system. This has been the problem, discriminating employees based on rating.
1-1s and 1-2s keep getting the same rating, and even a 3-3 performs well. They will not give a 1-1 or 1-2 as history is considered; this is awful.
Remove the Technical Assessments, Calibrations, and Level Ups. Why are you assessing the existing employees? This adds pressure to the employees.
Employees are not compensated well, and how can you expect them to take these tests in the middle of their employment?
Make sure to respect employees and their knowledge and contributions, not just based on a sudden technical assessment/level up process.
The assessment panel itself is crap. Whoever started this is no longer with the company.
