Pros: Almost all of the engineers I worked with were great, and teams worked well both amongst themselves and between orgs.
Pretty good pay for hardware engineering roles.
No micromanagement of responsibilities; I was given the leeway to independently prioritize tasks and implement improvements.
Cons: - Out of touch upper management, which often makes decisions to the detriment of those that work under them.
- Unreasonable and paternal return-to-office mandates, where your direct manager gets scolded by their boss if the employees on their team don't badge into the office on the prescribed 3 days per week.
- Large company, so the scope of work for any given engineer is relatively narrow.
