Machine Learning Engineer Interview Experience - Germany

Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The process consisted of two rounds.

First, I had an approximately 30-minute online conversation with HR, in which my professional background, programming languages used, and machine learning frameworks were discussed. There were no technical questions; the conversation was pleasant and straightforward.

The second round involved a technical interview (approx. 45 minutes) with a programming task of medium difficulty (similar to LeetCode Medium). I had to show my solution path via screen sharing. The interviewer was supportive and provided helpful hints. Unfortunately, I did not advance to the next round after that.

Questions

The most important task was a medium-difficulty programming question (comparable to LeetCode), where I had to code live and explain my solution approach.

The focus was on efficient algorithms, clear structure, and comprehensible thought process.
