Software Engineer Interview Experience - Japan

Process

Chat with EM (30m) -> Technical Screen (45m) -> 4-5 rounds of loop interviews (mostly technical, 1 behavioral).

Recruiter was very supportive, and so were the interviewers.

Total focus on just technical knowledge, not even self-introductions.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the screening (20 minutes LeetCode easy-medium, 20 minutes system design), but it looked like a bunch of very smart people solving interesting problems.

Questions

Implement a very common data structure without using built-in functions.
