I had a rather long but definitely negative interview process.
First, I had an interview for another role. They scheduled a next step, which was in person, and then cancelled that interview the day of the interview (even after I had left home) due to changing the position to internal. They reached out with the IE role later on the same day and sent me an application link. I applied.
The same day at 9 PM (yes, evening!), the hiring manager called me and conducted an interview with technical questions. They finally scheduled another step after this. The invitation was with one person and for a 30-minute slot, but it was with a team of engineers and for a 1-hour meeting. This might seem like a slight difference, but I have a job which I am currently working and scheduling my time accordingly.
The interview was okay, but I got ghosted even though I followed up twice after the interview. At least after all these steps, they could have shown some decency and sent a generic rejection message.
