Pros

Great hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing.

Easy, entry-level position.

Some employees are great.

Cons

Poor leadership, heavy in favoritism.

Bullying and harassment, and you can't count on management or even HR to do anything about it.

Retention rate is horrible. People come and go super quick, and it's a result of improper training and a lack of respect.

Lay off people who actually work but leave people who sit around talking and doing nothing to collect a paycheck.

Pay is not as competitive as other companies.

Supervisors have poor communication with their employees, or none at all.

Advice to Management

Employees should never be surprised by the review that their supervisors give them, whether it be good or bad. It’s called communication.

If employees aren’t doing well, give them clear expectations and work with them to increase their effectiveness at work. Otherwise, you’re just killing morale further every single time you run off an employee or lay them off.

Most of your contractors work harder than your RFT people, so treat them better.
