How does any big company get away with the same person being CEO and Chairman?
At AMAT, this lack of check and balance leads to problems. Splinter runs the board. He has walked or driven more than one founder out of the company because they disagreed with his autocratic rule.
Look at the stock! It is worth much less now than when I joined 10 years ago.
How can a CEO get away with his stock trading sideways for the last 5 years!
