Not a lot of cooperation between different teams. Benefits were better when the company was public. There are a lot of egos among the manager-level that are difficult to navigate. Poor workers are tolerated.
Reward your hard-working employees with more regular raises.
Make opportunities for advancement easier.
Fire the managers who aren't at all good at managing people.
