Pros

The work wasn't complicated.

Depending on the system function you are assigned to, you may get to travel a lot.

Cons

Long hours. You are expected to align with both the Netherlands and Asia in the same day.

Some days, you will have meetings starting at 7am and ending at 6pm.

Boring work. No actual engineering involved. You will spend your days as a glorified technical writer, but will also have to run around chasing the actual engineers for answers to the customer's questions.

Your Project Lead will most likely have you do their work for them.

Advice to Management

Stop exaggerating the responsibilities of "Engineer" roles.
