A good place if you want to make a career there
The company is really big and has a lot of internationals, so it is easy for an expat to adapt. As there are many groups, someone could change topics and evolve. The work-life balance is really good, with flexibility in working hours.
For a software engineer or developer, it is not really inspiring. The development process is really bureaucratic and slow.
While this is justified as the lithographic machines are expensive and a bug could cost a lot, a software developer cannot really improve a lot technically.
They should find a way to make the software development more fun, maybe by simplifying the development process. Also, they should support agile processes wherever possible.
