Pros: The reason I work for AT&T is because it is one of the most important companies out there in connecting lives. There are a lot of good companies that make society better, and AT&T is one of them, laying down the infrastructure for services and phones to reach the customers.
It is a company that isn't afraid to take risks. DTV & Warner were financial hits, but it changed the landscape of streaming for better or worse.
In the end, the work I do has a greater impact on more people than if I worked for most other technology companies.
Cons: AT&T is trying to be a cutting-edge technology company, but has a legacy network to maintain that most other companies don't. It is a double-edged sword to maintain yet still innovate. As long as legacy networks are required by state and federal laws, it is a balancing act that will hit the bottom line and stock prices.
