Pros

Great benefits and compensation for those who are willing to put their best foot forward.

Limitless resources for on-the-job training and further knowledge and career development.

Cons

Prone to layoffs due to upper management realigning business concepts every few years. Not much room for vertical promotion if you are unable or unwilling to relocate.

Advice to Management

Layoffs of great size should be given to those affected one to two months in advance, rather than a two-week notice. Rather than looking at why metrics aren't being met segment-wide, look at the model in place and determine how those on the ground can be given the tools they need to succeed.
