Pros

Decent products with a large customer base and an iconic brand name.

Good salaries, bonus, 401k, and decent benefits.

Cons

The company used to be fun or good to work at, but not since COVID.

The company keeps laying off employees as they wanted to go from 140k to 90k.

They treat employees like livestock on a farm. For example:

  • Work 5 days in a hub office.
  • Minimum 8 hours a day.
  • They check badge swipes.
  • Monitor to see if you are on your computer at least 8 hours.
  • If you are given a company phone, they geofence your mobile up to 1 mile from the office.

So, if you go to lunch outside this mile range, you will show up on a presence report.

Culture and morale are at an all-time low.

Also, when they lay off employees, they normally target employees who have worked close to 25 years or more so they don't have to pay out MR75 milestone benefits.

Advice to Management

The CEO is running the company into the ground. Just look at the stock price over the past 5-10 years.

Telco is actually a dying field, and I would not recommend anyone to go into this sector, as there really is no growth.
