Pros

After 20 years at AT&T, I can honestly say it was a bad job to begin with and it never improved. The lack of respect for skilled workers makes working here very depressing.

Cons

DBAs were replaced by lower-paid workers from Tech Mahindra. They are not as skilled as the American DBAs who were let go, however that does not matter to AT&T.

Advice to Management

Contracts with Tech Mahindra may save you money now, but in the long term, your shop will be in such disarray that you will have to spend much more hiring American workers to come into compliance with state and federal law regarding privacy.

Your databases are wide open, and you believe all your data is safe. Think again.
