Overall, benefits are okay. You can do better on mobility discounts using Consumer Cellular or another MVNO.
I was with AT&T for 12 years (L2 management) and was able to move around to several different areas. My raises averaged less than 2% per year. I always fully met or exceeded review ratings. There was no difference when "promoted" into a higher slot. I looked around and discovered I was underpaid by $25-35K. A few months later, I was blessed with a new opportunity with (much) better management and growth opportunities.
Divesting DirecTV and TW is a smart move, but the purchase was a multi-billion dollar mistake.
I was reached out to by an HR professional who was very nice to work with. They set up a call between us that progressed into speaking with the hiring manager. Once I spoke with them, it was mutually determined that this wouldn't be a fit.
The interview was very straightforward. There were a total of three rounds: the first technical, the second technical, and the final HR round. The questions were very specific to the job role. In short, the interview was average.
Very high efficiency and straightforward.
