Pros

Highly skilled, smart, fun, and professional co-workers.

Flexible timings.

Excellent admin team.

Business casual dress code.

Recognition and rewards for hard work and talent.

Improvement based on employee feedback.

Decent hikes and appraisals.

On-site opportunities.

Cons

As with any product organization, there is buried technical debt. Too many managers and not enough employees lead to work overload.

There is no overtime pay, and no shift basis, leading to inevitable burnout.

A 70-hour work week is common, which may include your weekends.

Work extends into late evenings and nights to sync up with the Toronto/San Diego offices on a daily basis.

Multiple managers stressing different priorities affects concentration and productivity.

Frequent unnecessary meetings and long calls occur without the right people present.

Proper documentation is rarely present, inadvertently creating dependencies in the name of job security.

All the above are interlocked in a vicious circle.

Advice to Management

The work-life balance is a real problem; please don't let it be the downfall of an otherwise incredible place to work at. Hopefully, AT&T has figured this one out.
