Process

This was basically the best interview process I've ever experienced. It was very smooth, professional, and to the point. They didn't waste my time or make me feel useless. All invitations came through Google Calendar and interviews were conducted over Zoom. It was very well organized.

First, I had a phone screening with a recruiter from Atlassian. It covered general topics, more like "How are you doing?"

Then, I had another interview with a mobile developer, a very nice and professional guy from Atlassian. He gave me some code to debug. It wasn't a difficult task, and he provided good feedback later. However, the level of the task seemed one step below what the recruiter had initially aimed for me.

The recruiter then called to discuss the feedback and arrange the next interview. This time, I interviewed with three other mobile developers, though one was present for training purposes, meaning I primarily met with two senior mobile developers. I was excited to see one of them was a woman; it's always nice to see successful women.

The interview began with "Tell us about a project you did," and from there, they asked increasingly in-depth questions about common iOS and Swift development. It wasn't an easy interview. Based on the job description, I didn't expect the technical depth to be so significant, but it was quite challenging. The developers were very nice and friendly, and I enjoyed meeting them.

After a few days, I received an email stating, "Unfortunately, we did not get enough signal in your interview to move forward to the final stage." They asked if I would like to have a chat to receive my final feedback, to which I agreed. This chat is scheduled for tomorrow, so I don't have any further details to share at this time.

Questions

They asked a lot of questions about testing, CI, and CD.

They also asked a bit about TableViews/CollectionViews and how they load and reuse cells.

Questions were raised about singletons, caching, and the Realm database (as I mentioned it earlier).

They inquired about design patterns in code, specifically MVC and MVVM.

There were also questions about the automation of the release to the App Store.

And generally, all concepts of Swift and iOS development were covered.
