I was quite stunned by Atlassian's recruitment process.
I initially applied with a four-page CV and was rejected. I reapplied the next day with a one-page CV and received an email stating I was a good fit. I was then asked to complete a set of mindset exercises, which I submitted within a week.
Following this, I was scheduled for a Skype interview, which went well. Two days later, I was asked to complete a web testing technical exercise, with a week's deadline. I submitted it on time and was waiting for an update. I sent chaser emails but never received an update.
One day, I received an email from HR asking about my mindset exercise, which I had already completed, and after I had finished three rounds of interviews!
I later emailed HR the details. She then said there was a bug in the system and promised to get back with an update. One day later, I received an update stating my skills did not match their requirements.
I am not disappointed that I was rejected, but why couldn't Atlassian look at my CV carefully before sending me for three rounds of interviews? Absolutely a horrible recruitment process.
