The interview was divided into different parts:

Telephonic Interview by HR: They ask about your experience.
Browser Coding Interview: They test your frontend development skills.
Javascript Coding Interview: They test algorithmic skills.
Manager's Interview.

Questions

In a browser coding interview, I was asked to develop a dynamic hierarchical menu that could have multiple levels.

In a JavaScript coding interview, I was asked to develop an API that retrieves menu options and, according to access rights, routes to the specific page.

Pros: Good benefits and pay. Interesting technical problems at scale. Smart people who can push you both technically and non-technically. Good culture centered around continuous improvement and customer centricity. Remote working and work/life balance are second to none.

Cons: Culture changes depending on where you land up (avoid Migrations - it's a feature factory). Performance processes push for evidence of code contributions, which can feel like an output-driven culture, and also stack rank you against other team members. Promotions are notoriously difficult. Atlassian seems to hire more people into more senior roles rather than promote from within, especially P60+. Extremely bureaucratic in its processes.

Cons: Place has turned into Meta, with job levels and even descriptions copied word-for-word from there. CTO is a joke; no personality or speaking skills.

Pros: My work experience spans over 4 countries with different companies. Atlassian is surely the best place I've worked so far. Here, my daily routine does involve solving interesting problems and creating state-of-the-art software. I found at Atlassian an autonomy that I never thought would be possible. I feel empowered and provided with the tools to improve any aspect of our products.

Cons: One of the company's values (Open company) has been weaponized, and people feel empowered to shout their opinions about absolutely anything, but rarely showing empathy. I don't think this is something exclusive to Atlassian, and it won't take it down from my ranking, but I avoid talking about non-work stuff as people will get offended for pretty much anything.
