I had a Karat round. It consisted of 5 system design questions. Most of them were basic.
Answer them according to the CAP theorem, or at least that worked for me. After that, there will be 30 minutes of LeetCode-style coding.
The first question was very easy. However, I spent too much time trying to understand the problem and over-engineering it, and I didn't solve it. It was complete, however, I hit 'run' after the time was over. Apparently, they don't count that.
So the recruiter asked me to do it again. This time, I was mindful of the time. If you finish the first coding question, they'll give you a second one. That, in my opinion, was LeetCode hard. But if you finish question 1, passing all test cases, you should be fine.
I'm attempting the second round soon.
System design round based on CAP theorem.
Leetcode Medium.
