The recruiter intended to send an email to a different candidate, but she sent it to me by mistake. I replied and informed her that she had sent it to the wrong person. She then sent another email asking me to schedule a time for a chat. Thinking I was shortlisted or at least had an opportunity to speak with her, I selected a timeslot. However, the day before our scheduled chat, she rescheduled to a different time on the same day. I understood that 4 PM on Friday might not have been a good time.
She called at the scheduled time, we greeted, and then she stated that the position was closed. She asked me to keep an eye on other positions on their website and then hung up.
What? What? What?
YOU DON'T HAVE TO ASK ME TO SCHEDULE A TIME IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TALK.
