Process

I was contacted by HR for a Software Engineer GraphQL role.

The initial round was a screening with HR to understand my experience better and to explain the role, company, and other details.

The second round was a problem-solving round via Zoom.

I was given a problem statement to develop a GraphQL query using Apollo Server.

I developed the query and executed it from GraphQL Playground, and it produced the result perfectly.

There were issues with the query that wasn't working fine. I debugged and fixed it within the given time.

The feedback I received from HR was that I made a lot of mistakes during coding and debugging.

The worst part is they were not looking at the final result, nor if it was properly developed.

Good companies often lose good candidates because of their interviewers.
