Atlassian Work Experiences
- 4.0Friendly Culture, Tech DebtSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeJanuary 1, 2023Pros: 1. Friendly culture 2. WLBCons: 1. Tech debt everywhere. 2. What is the next flagship product?
- 1.0Time to find a new jobSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSydney, New South Wales, AustraliaFebruary 20, 2020Pros: Free food. Stocks and bonus to make up for the below-average base pay.Cons: At first, it was good. We had big electric height-adjustable desks, Aeron chairs, and dual monitors. They are now, in an effort to jam more people in, limiting us to a single monitor on desks almost half the size, which cannot be used as standing desks anymore. They replaced our chairs with much cheaper ones, which are far less comfortable. Contrary to what people might say, the infrastructure is inefficient, outdated, and limiting. You won't get to use anything new. You need to document everything in order to get a pay rise. There is no recognition for hard work.
- 5.0Great place to workSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeAnkara, Ankara, TurkeyMay 14, 2024Pros: Work-life balance. Fair compensation.Cons: Doing actually impactful work is not enough by itself. You need to find a way of showing it off through documents, etc., to get recognized.
