Having roles so focused on one thing for the vast majority, and linking that to recognition, is productive but limits the opportunity to collaborate.
The process involved an online application, followed by an online coding assessment, and concluded with an assessment day in Birmingham. During the assessment day, I toured the facilities, participated in a group task, completed an in-person coding
One-to-one meetings, some tech and behavioral questions. Several rounds in their office, followed by a tour around the company and lunch with some of their senior engineers. Generally not that stressful.
I submitted my CV online through their system. I then received a call from their internal recruiter (30-45 minutes), followed by a one-hour discussion with the hiring manager about the role. After that, I was ghosted. There was absolutely no update.
