Relatively stable job with good benefits. Lots of bright and intelligent people in the non-management roles. Diverse backgrounds of people working within the development ranks.
Terrible lack of innovation and long-term vision.
Work-life balance would be decent if it wasn't for the layer of incompetent middle management constantly saddling people with poor decisions.
The people below middle management are always blamed for the poor decisions and often the ones let go when things go bad, instead of the people who made the poor decisions.
Failure is almost rewarded with promotions and raises, while the people trying to innovate and breathe new life into things are outcast and ignored.
Instead of constantly reorganizing the development staff, try culling some of the useless middle management clogging the ranks. Listen to your employees who use and champion your products, not the incompetent fools who can barely figure out how to install them, let alone launch them and do something with them. Stop letting good, long-time employees go just because you want to save a couple bucks and re-open the position at an entry-level salary.
I did a technical assessment before getting called for an in-person interview. They asked more technical questions and some scenarios to work with. Great people and culture to work with. I had an HR round before getting the assessment. After the tech
The interview was an online Zoom call. It included a personal discussion about the role and the company with a manager. This was followed by a coding challenge for the first round.
Four rounds of interviews: * HR * Hiring Manager * Technical * Final Team Leader The interview process was mature and good, but a bit lengthy, as you kept introducing yourself. It is a good opportunity to train your interview skills.
