Pros

BofA has great benefits and is an overall solid environment to be in. I have had a chance to move around to different roles within the bank after expressing to my manager my eagerness to learn. My managers were great.

Cons

The end-all, be-all for this place is not being able to work from home. In an era where we have many means of communication,

  • Video chats
  • IMs, etc.

why are you forcing your employees who don't require face-to-face work to come into the office?

Earnings were still record-breaking during the pandemic, but one of the first companies to force us back into the office for "team collaboration." My manager isn’t even in the same state as me, nor are other teammates, so it makes no sense.

Plus inflation, and then not offering competitive pay. People have to drive in three times a week at least with these gas prices.

I loved the bank, but as the pandemic happened, I slowly started to not want to be there.

Also, look at their retention rate.

Advice to Management

Let employees work from home and stop power tripping. The work is getting done. If team collabs in person were so important, managers would be in the same states as well as teammates. Until then, your retention numbers will fall.
