They asked about linked lists for a UI Dev position, in addition to standard HTTP protocol questions. I think they were seeing how far I could go, but they definitely asked technical questions far beyond the scope of the role.

The interview process was strange. Until the day of the interview, I was not even sure of what role I was getting interviewed for. I went in assuming that they were hiring for a QA lead, only to realize that they were looking for a database engineer.

This was through a recruitment agency for a contract-to-hire role. Keep in mind, I would've been a returning employee. They said they wanted someone with "lesser experience who can come in and learn and grow with the team, but someone with a solid fo
