An online technical test followed by an HR interview.

Then another interview was conducted by the Lead. The next stage involved four team members. The questions were about:

• Jenkins
• Kubernetes
• Ansible
• Git
• Docker
• Linux

They work more with Azure cloud in Best Buy Canada.

The questions were of average difficulty. If you have worked 2-3 years as a DevOps Engineer, it would be a breeze.

My advice to HR at Best Buy would be to have a mix of nationalities on the interview panel in order to help choose a truly qualified candidate.

Jenkins (library, scripted, and declarative in Jenkinsfile), Kubernetes (objects, taint, and cluster upgrade), Dockerfile instructions and best practices, Ansible (playbook, galaxy, and roles).
