Applied directly to the company, and after a week or so, I received an email to schedule a codepair. The odd thing is it looked like they initially confused me with someone else. I confirmed I was the intended person and proceeded with the interview.
When the day of the codepair arrived, the interviewer never called, and HR did not communicate via email that day either. The next day, HR explained there was a reason, which I wasn't bothered by, as things happen.
Overall, the next codepair went fine, but I could tell the interviewer was trying to rush and left no time for questions. It was barely 25 minutes.
I was ghosted after that, even upon asking for an update.
Very poor communication from BlackRock, and HR is a mess.
