Process

I applied on the college's career website. The HR department scheduled two initial rounds of on-campus interviews, which differed slightly from common in-person interviews. Instead of whiteboard coding, I coded on my laptop while the interviewers observed. I cleared the on-campus rounds and subsequently interviewed at their HQ in San Francisco.

The onsite round consisted of two similar interviews, where I coded on a PC with interviewers sitting beside me. The interviewers were very nice and helpful, and Square is an awesome company. They have amazing office views and canteens.

My experience after the interview was extremely unfortunate. They contacted me shortly after the interview and wanted to schedule a phone call to discuss next steps. However, when the scheduled time arrived, they canceled, stating they needed to finalize something. A week later, they informed me I had done a good job but were short of openings and asked me to wait. We exchanged emails for about two months, but they failed to place me into any of their offices. It was truly unfortunate.

Despite this, I will still apply next year for a full-time role.
